This is an initial consultation visit that includes a comprehensive assessment of your diet history, medical history, recent labs, lifestyle habits, current eating patterns, goal setting, etc to evaluate what you're doing well and where they may be some room for improvement. This is my opportunity to get to know you.
If it has been over a year since you've had a nutrition session, a new nutrition evaluation is needed to re-establish care.
Typical time ranges from 55-75 minutes.
Ongoing visits can be 15 to 45 minutes depending on your preference. We will typically have an initial session and follow-up depending on your needs and progress. I recommend at least 3 counseling sessions (as follow-ups) a year to re-evaluate your goals and update your nutrition plan.
Common nutrition topics include:
Best foods for your specific health needs
Live meal and snack planning
Grocery shopping, grocery list building
Cooking strategies and methods
Portion sizing
Dining out
...and more!
