Some common questions/thoughts that may come up
Having worked in hospitals and outpatient medical centers throughout Southern California, I understand the strengths and limitations of traditional healthcare settings. While outpatient nutrition services play an important role, appointments may be limited by referral requirements, scheduling availability, or time constraints.
Private practice allows me to spend more time getting to know you, understanding your goals, and providing personalized recommendations that fit your lifestyle, culture, and health needs. It also offers greater flexibility in scheduling and ongoing support.
My goal is to combine the clinical expertise gained from working in leading healthcare institutions with the accessibility and individualized care that private practice provides.
You don't have to be sick to think about your health. Nutrition counseling can be helpful for anyone looking to build healthier habits, better understand their body, improve their relationship with food, or simply take time to care for themselves.
You don't need a diagnosis to invest in your well-being. My goal is to help you find more balance, confidence, and peace with food—wherever you may be on your health journey.
That's completely okay. You don't need to have everything figured out before scheduling an appointment.
As a dietitian, part of my job is to help identify patterns, explore potential areas of concern, and work with you to develop goals that feel meaningful and achievable. Sometimes simply knowing that you want to feel better is enough of a place to start and we'll figure it out together.
It's common to come into an appointment with several goals or an important event on the horizon. Together, we'll help prioritize what feels most important and focus on the habits and behaviors that can support meaningful progress.
While outcomes like weight, lab results, or a specific timeline can be motivating, the goals we work on together often center around the small, sustainable changes that help create those results. Progress doesn't have to be perfect, and we'll create goals that feel realistic, supportive, and tailored to your life.
Absolutely not. Food is about more than nutrition—it's also about culture, family, tradition, enjoyment, and connection. My goal is not to create a list of foods you can or cannot eat, but to help you find balance and build habits that support your health while still honoring the foods that are meaningful to you.
Together, we'll create an approach that feels realistic, flexible, and sustainable for your lifestyle.
Life happens, and I understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice whenever possible.
Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments without notice, may be subject to a cancellation fee. This policy helps protect dedicated appointment times and allows other patients the opportunity to receive care.
If an emergency or unforeseen circumstance arises, please don't hesitate to reach out. My goal is to balance flexibility and understanding while respecting both your time and mine.
